Kidz Performance Program

This course is designed to be a bridging course between the Tiny Tots and Junior Actor Programs. The program will develop student skills, and provide an opportunity for the students to explore the acting experience through the development of a short, scripted theatre piece. This ongoing drama program escorts students continuously through from one training program into another, potentially from Tiny Tots right through to Senior Actor and Beyond.

The Challenge: To maintain consistent attendance. Such a program would demand the constant attendance of all participants.

The concept: A series of ten week drama programs aimed at children who have completed Tiny Tots Actor and focused on the development and presentation of a short theatrical piece as part of the Buckingham Graduation Presentation. The process: Each session would commence with fun games that would evolve through improvisations and role-plays into text rehearsals. The text would be specially selected to be manageable by children aged between four and eight. The level of sophistication of the roles would be determined by the age and ability of the children selected to play them.
